Charities! Enter the Herald Scottish Digital Business Awards 2015

By Chris Yiu (Former Director of Digital, SCVO) on 17th Jul 2015

Nominations for the 2015 Herald Scottish Digital Business Awards have just opened, and this year something very special is happening: we're supporting a brand new category for charities and social enterprises.

This is all about showcasing how people and organisations in Scotland are using digital projects for social good. Here's the category description:

Charity and Social Enterprise Award sponsored by SCVO

This new award for 2015 will be presented to an organisation that is using digital technology to drive social good in Scotland and beyond. We will be looking for charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises where innovative digital projects have resulted in real and meaningful engagement with the people they work with, from donors and beneficiaries to the general public. This can include the use of social media, digital campaigns, websites and online platforms, and mobile apps and services. This is the perfect opportunity to showcase how digital technology can be used for social good, and to raise your profile and inspire others at the same time.

If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear about what you've been up to, and help shine a spotlight on your achievements. And if you know about a brilliant digital project by a charity or social enterprise that's close to your heart then please do encourage them to apply.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 3 September 2015.
